To ensure the dust collection effect complies with emission standards, a single industrial dust collector is usually insufficient to meet the overall demands of the entire production line. Multiple industrial dust collector machines shall be arranged by zones according to the layout of the production line, generally divided into the primary crushing zone, secondary crushing zone, screening zone and other areas. Each zone is equipped with one centralized industrial dust extractor and one main pipeline. A single dust collection machine covers multiple dust collection points, each fitted with dust collection pipes and dust hoods, and all dust collection points are connected to the main pipeline through branch pipelines.

In the design of the dust collection system for the primary crushing zone, one industrial dust collector is configured with four independent dust collection points, including discharging house dust collection, crusher feed inlet dust collection, muck dropping point dust collection, and crusher discharge outlet dust collection. For each industrial dust extractor point, dedicated dust collection hoods and matched pipelines are designed respectively according to different processing air volumes and coverage ranges (Figure 1).

The processing air volume of a dust collection machine shall be the sum of the processing air volumes of all dust collection machine points. To meet emission requirements, the filtering wind speed in the industrial dust collector machine shall generally not exceed 0.8 m/s.

The processing air volume of the discharging house shall be no less than 24,000 m³/h, that of the crusher feed inlet shall be no less than 8,000 m³/h, and those of the muck dropping point and crusher discharge outlet shall each be no less than 4,000 m³/h. The processing air volumes of other dust collection points in the dust collection system can be determined through calculations combined with empirical data.

The industrial dust extractor shall adopt a pulse-jet baghouse filter, which features a long service life and convenient maintenance and replacement. Multiple industrial dust collector machines can be equipped with separate chimneys or a shared chimney as required. The angle between the dust collection machine pipeline and the horizontal direction shall be no less than 30° to prevent dust accumulation in the pipeline. The dust collected by the dust collection system shall be transported to a fixed location for stacking, with measures taken to prevent secondary pollution.
