What is A Centrifugal Classifier

A centrifugal classifier is an essential grading and screening equipment for manufactured sand production, which is extensively applied in dry-type manufactured sand production lines. Based on the installation and process layout of tower-type manufactured sand production lines, the centrifugal air classifier supports two mainstream working modes: raw material classification and finished product classification, adapting to the grading demands of different production stages. The working efficiency of the centrifugal air classifier is highly dependent on the moisture content of feeding materials, which is a critical factor restricting its classification performance. 

If the feed moisture content is higher than 5%, fine powder particles will agglomerate and fail to disperse evenly, sharply lowering the powder removal capacity of the centrifugal air classifier and deteriorating finished sand quality. When the feed moisture is stably maintained at about 2%, the equipment achieves optimal operating state, with a stable sand forming rate ranging from 60% to 70%, which fully guarantees the continuous and efficient operation of the entire manufactured sand production line.
